This year the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo is ready for a visit from Santa! Recent renovations from the Interior Design Association of Western New York has have not only improved the look and mood of the house but have also put the Ronald McDonald House in the Christmas spirit.
Association members Deborah Smith of Deborah Smith Interiors, Todd Patti of Changes Construction and Ann Medinac of Ann Medinac Interiors (President of the Interior Design Association of Western New York) presented a check for $2,695 to the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo at the end of the 2011 Buffalo Home & Garden Show. The funds were proceeds of raffle ticket sales for the “The Really Little House” playhouse on display at the show.
The Ronald McDonald House requested in turn, that the IDA use the funds to renovate two guest bedrooms. That project was so successful that the IDA offered to decorate the house for the holidays.
Several IDA of Western New York members and their families took part in the design and decoration of the house for Christmas. Beautifully lit trees, centerpieces, and garland, ornamented the house for its guests to marvel over giving true meaning to the phrase “Deck the Halls”. The colors of the decorations compliment the colors of the new renovations.
With these new additions, the mood of the house has been uplifted and prepped for the Christmas spirit to take hold!
